Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome Grizzlies to the 2014-2015 school year! I hope that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable summer spending time with family and friends, spending a lazy day by the pool or catching up on a good book. Summer is a great time for rejuvenation in preparation for the new school year. Construction over the summer went very quickly and very well. We are so delighted to have our expanded version as we head into the second year for Legacy Gilbert.

We continue to be committed to excellence at Legacy in every way. Our well-rounded curriculum, positive community, and implementation of Character Counts continue to be the focus. Our staff is prepared to dedicate themselves to the learning of every student. With our building addition, we have added several staff members and many families so please show a great Grizzlies welcome to everyone new to our campus.

Legacy Gilbert wishes to continue to serve its community this school year and accomplish its mission to: provide motivated students with an opportunity to achieve academic excellence in an accelerated, back-to-basics, safe learning environment taught by caring, knowledgeable and highly effective educators in cooperation with supportive, involved parents.

As we begin the school year, please keep in mind several important dates. Meet the Teacher night is Tuesday, August 5th, from 3:00 – 6:00. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 6th. Our curriculum night is Tuesday, August 11th from 4:00 – 7:00 and food trucks will be available to have family dinner. Our Grizzlies PTO is ready to roll for this school year and before you know it, sports, clubs, and events will be in full force. Please join me, Assistant Principal Valerie Merrill, Instructional Coach Lexi Gold and the entire Legacy Gilbert faculty in welcoming the 2014-2015 school year with excitement.
